Their new offices, on a full floor in midtown Manhattan, had been damaged by fire. Months later, they were caught between their landlord, who insisted that they completely gut and rebuild the entire floor, and their insurance company, who insisted that it was a “paint and carpet” repair job. In the meantime, staff was scattered at three temporary locations, running the operation was more difficult, and the meter was running. Then they found me.
I put together the reconstruction program and successfully negotiated with their landlord and insurance company. The result: the landlord signed off on a realistic restoration plan, their insurer agreed to pay a much larger claim than their opening shot, and Waterfall Asset Management got back to work in their rebuilt headquarters.
We were able to save much of the existing construction, as can be seen in the background, saving both time and money on the rebuilding.
Part of the floor did require rebuilding, seen here, but we kept it to the minimum.
The offices restored to their original state, the staff re-united, and everyone back together again.
